Behold the Kith x Coca-Cola x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70

We were all extremely excited to witness the greatest summer collaboration between some of the most iconic brands in the industry. Kith and Coca-Cola had announced a splendid new collection in collaboration with Converse, to pay a special tribute to the legendary Chuck Taylor All Star’70.

The Kith x Coca-Cola x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star’70 was released on Friday, 11th August, and collection showcased a limited 1,000 pairs for $150 USD. The Founder and Creative Director of Kith had always harboured an adoration for Coca-Cola ever since he was a little boy. The sparkling coolness, the invigorating flavour, according to Fieg,

“It evokes nostalgia and a sense of comfort. People cannot help but feel a familiar emotion when they see the Coca-Cola branding.”

Fieg intended to evoke the same nostalgia and recognition to Kith, which is why he collaborated with Coca-Cola to create an exciting and iconic line of products that would embrace the warmth and glory of summer with an assortment of classic trends revamped with modern detailing.

Soon after, Kith and Coca-Cola partnered with Converse to bring back the classic charm of the best made sneakers America has ever seen. The sneaker is a glorious all-white converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70s featuring red embroidered Coke branding monograms on each side. It features a contrasted green outsole towards the bottom of the sneaker, a KITH logo etched across the toe and a smooth raw hem finish.

The new sneaker features a highly durable upper created with vintage white denim, and adorned with puffed embroidery that carves an asymmetrical Coca-Cola on each pair.  The uppers are placed atop vulcanized rubber midsoles, which feature KITH branding monograms across the forefoot. Both shows also feature a medial side with a bottle cap-like Velcro patch crafted with fine quality leather, which exposes a shrouded Converse branding monogram upon removal.

The outsole of the sneakers features a contrasted translucent green, which is an inspiration of the green glass that is used to create the original Coke bottles. Each pair comes with its own unique custom packaging, and an exclusive red label Kith x Coca-Cola 80z glass bottle, which cannot purchased anywhere in the market otherwise.

Needless to say, we are hopelessly lost in adoration of this fun white denim version of the Chuck Taylor All-Star 1970 model. Its classic beauty couldn’t have been revived with a better revamping!
